LISTEN: Westpac Chopper Bike appeal

Every year hundreds of people in the south look to the skies in their hour of need and their call for help is answered by the Lakes District Air Rescue Trust.

For the past eight years they have been supported by the fundraising efforts of the annual Westpac Chopper appeal. This year a brave group of 60 riders will tackle the 254km ride from Queenstown through eastern Southland to Invercargill.
