Stags player of the year heading to Bath
Southland Stags player of the year James Wilson has returned to the Bath club in the English premiership.
Wilson, who returned home to lend his experience to the Southland team during the English summer, played 20 times for Bath last season.
Bath director of rugby Todd Blackadder said the 35-year-old would be a valuable addition to the team.
“James will add much-needed depth to our squad over the next six months," Blackadder told the Bath club’s website.
Wilson told somersetlive.co.uk, "To be back at Bath is absolutely brilliant. I cannot wait to put the jersey back on and get out there with the boys. I know how focused everyone at the club is on challenging for a place in the top four and I am excited to be part of that."
Wilson has had plenty of success in English rugby, winning a premiership with Northampton, and also playing for Bedford.
